Frequently Asked Questions
What does sponsorship do?
In order to be a strong team member I have to spend at least 10
hours a week on the water and another 6 in the gym. This is in addition
to having a demanding full time job as a personal trainer. This dedication
is what will enable me to succeed in my dream of being a world-class
competitor and also helping Northwest women distinguish themselves
in global competition.
In order to extend my success so
that I can cross-new seas for women in canoe racing and stride
for my dream
I need your help. The expenses
involved in competition at this level are large for one of my
means. These costs range from travel costs to entry fees, food, equipment
and its maintenance as well as racing attire. Sponsorship helps
offset some of these expenses.
What does sponsorship mean for the sponsor?
In seeking sponsorship I would like to have a mutually
beneficial relationship. In return for your help, I can do the following
for your company:
· Place your company’s logo on racing uniform and warm
up attire · Put the your company’s logo on the Black
Cat Racing website · If there is a product involved
(clothing, beverage, etc.) use the product and share it with fellow
competitors
(when I believe
in something I definitely tell others)
Personal contributions are
also greatly appreciated and are very important for me to meet
my goals.
How much can/should I contribute?
In order to compete at an international level, I must train consistently,
with quality equipment and compete in local, national, and overseas
races. Sponsorship enables me to cover expenses such as equipment,
gear, boat maintenance, entry fees, travel and lodging. It would
also contribute to specialized training in Hawaii and California
that I need to become a world-class competitor. As a reference, in
2003, I expect these expenses to amount to over $10-15,000.
Any contribution is welcome and fully appreciated.
Below are some
contribution suggestions and what costs they might cover.
- Each $ 50 contribution covers the entry fee to a competition
(Receives
special thanks on sponsor page)
- Each $ 100 contribution covers the cost of 2 night's lodging
(Minimum
for logo on website)
- Each $ 500
contribution covers the cost of airfare to competitions
(Minimum
for logo on warm up attire)
- Each $1500 contribution covers the cost of attending competitions
overseas
(Minimum for logo on racing uniform)
